Amazing how far back all three of these articles go.  Says a lot about the evergreen nature of Twitter.  (Did I actually say something as bold as that? Cripies!)

After reading the articles “The Journalist Guide to Twitter,” ”Five Ways to Gather and Report News With Twitter,” and “How to Verify a Tweet,” I realized two things.

One was that I knew most of the tips that the articles had to…

The Varieties of Non Sequitur Earthquake Response
(1) Tweeting or updating Facebook status with what was or was not felt
(2) Mapping the epicenter in relation to the nearest nuclear power plant
(3) Mapping the epicenter in relation to the nearby bars offering Earthquake cocktail happy hour specials
(4) Making some smug remark bout the n00bs East Coast and Rocky Mountain regions now knowing what it feels like in Cali…

Here’s You Tube’s thing.  Granted, its not so dissimilar from the terms and conditions Twitpic and Facebook use.  All three using the same law firm, far as I know.  But here’s the thing.  Its You Tube and they’re part of Google and I really don’t see anything different about the contract itself (perhaps an attorney can shed some light on what I’m missing here) but again, its Google. You know, “Don’t be Evil” Google, the only corporation that’s ever had the balls to stand up to China.  Yes, that Google. Google with bigger fish to fry than pimping out celeb at laundermat photos to highest bidder cause they’re rakin’ it in through ad sales, yo.
